I want to resurface a small pad with a pea gravel exposed finish to match a new exposed aggregate slab I am pouring next to it. Should I use thinset, concrete or epoxy. I plan to use a concrete blade on my circular saw to rough up the surface first.

Since the area is small you'll be better of tearing it out and
pouring a new slab. Most overlays cannot be applied over 1/4" thick and being the aggregate you are goin to use 1/4" to 1/2"
itself, you need a full body slab(4" min.)to embed the aggregate
and wash the portland off the top.

I agree. If it's really small.... Tear it out. O'lay is too expensive and not for the faint at heart.

Green concrete(or Geopolymer concrete) is an alternative to Portland Cement concrete, using inorganic aluminosilicate polymer compounds and 100% recycled industrial waste, its production lowers the carbon dioxide emissions by 80%.
Types of joints are:
Isolation joints
Expansion joints
Construction joints
Poly is used as a vapor barrier, to minimize moisture intrusion from the subgrade
