how do i calculate how many yards of concrete i will need. thanks baby_huey.

I believe you can calculate thusly, but ask your concrete supplier to verify your calculation:

(W in ft)x(L in ft)x(T in fraction of ft)/27

So, a pad that is 20'x40'x4"thick would be:

(20x40x.333)/27=9.866 cubic yards.
The .333 is 4/12 in decimal form - the fraction of a foot that 4" accounts for.
The 27 is the number of cubic feet in a cubic yard.

It depends how big your yard is and if it's needed for [url=]void filling[/url] void filling then you must hire contractor for help.
